Does the computer get hot?
If that happens maybe its beacause the PC reaches it limit temp and shuts down to avoid hardware Damage...
try this, doownload the nvdia programn, im not sure bout this(i own an ATI), and adjust the fan speed to 100%
as i said i dont know much but i rode this somewere...
Ati's got "ATI catalyst Center" so i supose that nVdia has its own program...
Sorry to be so vage but im kinda noob...

Its also possible that you have a bad intalation of diablo 2, try to reintal it anyways...

Good Luck

I dont think its because of installation problem. Installation problem wont cause automatic shut down. But Deimos were right about the fan, Yes there is in NVidia control panel, its not adjuster but enable fan to always on. But you first need the NVidia Coolbits2 update. Get it from here:

i'm used to using the Classic NVidia Control Panel, you may find the checkbox for Fan Always on in Overclocking settings. Switch it on.
