When I try to play Halo on my computer it gives me an error message that says: A problem occured initializing Direct3D. Hardware acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG. It has run on this computer before when I had a different video card. Now I am using an Ati X850XT PE. I think the last card that I had was an x800. other than that the computer has not changed.

I have run DXDIAG and it says everything is ok.

Is there a setting that I can change somewhere to get it to play?

Thanks,
Matt

If it says hardware acceleration may be disabled have you checked that? Right click the desktop and select properties. Then navigate to the last tab and click advanced. Hardware acceleration should be in here somewhere under one of the tabs.
