Hi all, I bought my copy of Half life 2 from a shop as opposed to downloading it. I've finished with it now but would like to get hold of Half life source, without having to buy a complete package from Steam. Is it possible to download the individual game, because all I seem to see are the packages(ie including HL2, CS:S etc)

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

If you bought the retail copy of HL2 you're not entitled to Half-Life: Source.

The only way you can legally get Half-Life: Source is by purchasing either Silver or Gold editions of HL2.

http://www.steampowered.com/ <---- have a look.

You could download it off a p2p, but I don't condone that...

Obviously you are condoning it by mentioning it and offering it as an alternative to payment.

I was hoping to be able to buy just HL/source from steam. Why the hell dont they only make it available with a package? Stupid Steam!
