I wonder why they even have Steam, I like CS 1.5 better. For some odd reason Steam is a bit laggy for me.

Steam is laggy for everyone, it's been described as lame by most gaming mags, although I don't seem to have any trouble with it.
To be honest, I think this is the real reason for the release date slipping. More than likely it was a ploy by Valve, they released that piece of crap code themselves as a cover-up.
