Hi there!
If your copy is legal, then go to stream and update game. I had the same problem. They fixed it with new patch. So download it.
If your copy illegal, then go to www.gameburnworld.com ans search for half life 2 fix bundle. That's the patch you gonna need. Install it and enjoy. Plus you get some cool features, like bullet time.
