Comment: All my Steam games such as Half-life 2 and Counter-strike: Source work, but at a very low fps. Every time I try to go change video settings to improve my fps, it crashes the moment i click "OK".. The settings are mid-high because that's my system default, but it runs very slowly, and I want to know is there some way I can change the video settings without going into the game first?? Every other option works such as changing resolution, but i have to do it one by one then quit then change the next thing but it doesn't work on video settings like detail. Someone help please I Like pie

Reply: (edit)It would help if you told us which video card you're using. If you have a weak card or integrated graphics, you shouldn't expect decent frame rates. And you should really have more than 512MB RAM for gaming.

Reply: (edit)I have an integrated video card, intel plug and play 82865g.. I know it's bad but I can't do anything about it. I can't get a new one because then it won't work because i already have an integrated card. 512 megs is decent anyway.. I have no problem playing the games that I have with 512, it's just that my video card sucks. You really didn't help at all with this one, so IMO don't reply at all next time to a question you can't solve. I Like pie
