Half Life 1 Finale not happening...

So who's played HL1? remember the big baby boss at the end? well, I destroyed the crystal in it's head, and it floated up and lots of blue and green lightning flew out of it, and everything i've read online suggests that now a cutscene or something should happen, but nothing is, it's just me running around in his room. Now i must confess, i used -dev -console cheats for this end part, could that somehow have interfered with the end sequence?
