Comment: Okay.. Im thinking of getting Guild Wars I have the system to play it but I doubt I have the connection speed to play it. Lol I have a 56 K modem. Im not with the times I know but yeah.. Iv read where people have played it "smoothly" on 56 K but I highly doubt its smooth with those kind of graphics. So if anyone has played this game so far on 56 K please tell me your results with it! lol Processor P4@ 2.6 Ghz, FSB@535Mhz

Reply: (edit)I'm guessing that as GW is a MMORPG that they'll be lots of players? You'll be really lucky if you can play with minimal lag. When I had 56K I just gave up playing online games because the experience was just so bad.

Reply: (edit)according to the main GW site and testimonials gW runs smooth even on 56kbps. ive never played it on dial up though so im not positive about it. My Box:

Reply: (edit) I play halflife 2 deathmatch on 56k, plays fine, everynow and then you get a stutter but its nothing like trying to play doom 3 online geez, its a slideshow. me

Reply: (edit)the only 2 games i cud eva play on 56k were age of empires, and monter truck madness. if uve got a good system ur not doin it justice wiv 56k. a 512kb connection is easily enough 2 play most games, and now its about £1 extra than dial up.

Reply: (edit)I play Guild Wars on a 56K and it runs just as good as on cable. Sometimes it may have a little lag, but not usually. Just as long as I can get at least a 49K connection and that the server I'm on isn't completely full.
