I have a feeling I know the answer to this question but i'm gonna ask it anyway just to be sure. I have a Pentium II 350 MMX 128mb ram, ATI RAGE 128 Video Card. What are the odds of me being able to run GTA3 fairly smoothly on my computer. If you need anymore info let me know. I've heard i'd have problems, but i wanna be sure.

Perhaps it may work, but I wouldn't want to play GTA3 at less than 10 fps =P

well, i thought it may work but as you point out, but not likely. is it worth my time downloading a 1500meg file and installing it only to find it doesn't work? probably not. maybe if i'm bored someday i'll give it a shot. i'll stick with good ol GTA 1 and 2 for the time being. i guess SPLINTER CELL is probably out of the question as well.

Yea...even my old P3 733mhz w/ FX 5700U didn't run GTA3 smoothly as well. If you want to play games like Splinter Cell, why not upgrade your CPU? For about $500-$600 you could have a very nice gaming rig...

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday...Someday. I've had this computer for a while and it's done me just fine. It's acutally running quite nicely after SEVERAL problems (many of which were solved with the kind help of many computing.net users). I'll upgrade eventually. Even more likely i'll just cash in and buy a whole new gig.
