I have a problem with my GTA San Andreas. My down-arrow key keeps locking itself. So when i play it keeps walking backwards by itself.
Anyone knows how to fix this?

Reply:

go to options > options>control setup>redefine controls>choose either foot or venicle controls and set backwards to some other button

note: do it for foot controls and for venicle controls too

you can`t deactivate back arrow

you need to take out the button, sorry to say

then you can set the control for backwards to another button

So i unbinded the down arrow, took it out from my keyboard (which i think was unnecessary), and still it walks backwards.

in options menu, reset to defaults the controller setup and display setup

if doesn`t work, copy the GTA San Andreas User files to another folder and reinstall the game

Done it all before :s And it's not even all the time it is doing it. Sometimes i can play for like 30 min, and then it starts walking backwards. It's driving me crazy!

so, it isn`t the keyboard, the game is fine...

try this : go to start > run > write eventvwr.exe > click on each item on the left and check for any errors whose source is GTA San Andreas
