Reply: (edit)You really should list ALL your system specs. What power supply do you have? List the brand name, total wattage & the ampergae ratings on the +3.3v, +5v & 12v rails.

Reply: (edit)I suggest the GTX but it is power hungry...so the GT might be your best route with the EPS12V 2.91 620W you listed. this will be fine...I just like going for broke. DigitalStorm, Stacker 830, XP Pro sp2, nForce 680i SLI, Kentsfield OC'd 3.33ghz, 2gb, 2 8800GTX'S, X-FI Fatal1ty, 244T

Reply: (edit)What games are you likely to play on this? And "1stepbeyond" my graphics card was factory overclocked yet i was able to push it a hell of allot more! Just because its factory overclocked doesn't mean it cant be overclocked some more, don't forget manufactures only push it a little faster so they can keep it in there warranty. Id say GT if you arn't going to do any major gaming and nor are you going to use a large screen at high res?? 02coled C2D-E6600ES-8x425-@3.4ghz 1:1 Ram : CPU 4gb Elipedia @ 850mhz EVGA 680i BFG8800GTS-OC 320mb @630/1500/2010 680w Thermaltake Purepower 2 x 250gb Sata2 Vista Home Premium 32bit X

Reply: (edit)Hi 2coled, theres a few pre OC cards about which dont, eg: recently popular Zotac brand being one of them. The funny thing about electronics is they can exceed manufacturers spec, but not all of them and not all of the time. Its an expensive game to play when it goes wrong hence i suggested re: the article if he was to think OCing was in mind then dont bother with that card. (bearing in mind your obviously top OC'r so know what your doing, & like the risk!) btw warrantys dont cover OC! an aside : probably by the time nvidia get to grips with the 9800 all this will be history but it noticeable that top end cards have lost there appeal due to cost here in the UK , i was speaking to a suppler this week who said the best sellers this year (07) were.... wii's +xbox's, pc's especially high end graphics well down on the list, hi spec pc's rapidly becoming a rich persons pursuit. maybe games will migrate purely to consoles this year. cheers
