ok so i had the sims 2 installed on my old compute rand it worker fine now on my stepmums computer i install it and everything but when i go to play it, it comes up with a message saying that it failed to find any directx 0.9 compatible graphics adapters in this system! so i got my dad to install directx 0.9 and it is still coming up with this im on a windows xp and my graphic card is a interative inc. banshee. please help wat do i do???

The keyword is ADAPTER! WinXP already has DX9 installed.

The 3Dfx / Interactive Banshee is an extremely old card, over 10 yrs old. It supports DX7 at best...it may even be a DX6 card.

You need to install a video card that's compatible with DX9. That means an ATI card with a model number of 9500 or higher or an nVidia card with a model number of 5200 or higher.
