hi, i was looking to get a better graphics card, one to play games like doom 3, ut 2004, maybe half life 2, and other new games like the sims 2 etc.

so i was wondering if any of these cards would be good for those kind of games:

Club3D GeForce MX4000 128MB DDR/AGP/TV-OUT
Sparkle GeForce 4 MX4000 128MB DDR/AGP/TV-OUT
Aopen GeForce MX4000 128MB DDR/AGP/DVI/TV-OUT
Microstar GeForce MX4000 128MB DDR/AGP/TV-OUT
Gigabyte Radeon 9200SE 128MB DDR/AGP/VO/TV-OUT
Dabsvalue Radeon 9200SE 128MB DDR/PCI/DVI/TV-OUT

If they arent, could anyone reccomend me a card that is? i was looking to pay for one under £80 if possible.

thanks

none of those cards will play those games "good".

You probably wont find a card for 80$ that will play those games "good"

You should save your money until you can atlest buy an FX5950 or a 9800 pro.But if you cant afford that, atleast spend an extra 50$ and buy a 9800 non pro 128MB.Heres the link.

I don't know how much that is in American dollars.

Don't get anything less than an FX5200, and even then, if you want to play the newest games coming out, I'd strongly urge nothing less than an ATI 9600 non se non pro, but a Pro would be the best idea. I don't know if that's within your budget, but that would be the card to get on a limited budget for Doom 3 and beyond.

MCSE, MCSA Messaging, baby!

About $150 US dollars heropsycho, but remember that h/ware is slightly more expensive over here in the UK.

For £80, you'll be looking at a 9600 Pro, which will play those games reasonably well.

Some people are like Slinkies?, not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs...

I see you're already familiar with Dabs!

You could pick up a Geforce4 Ti off ebay for around £40 and it'd blow any of those cards you mentioned away, just doesn't have Dx9 support.

AMD Athlon XP2200+
Aero7 lite
512mb Crucial pc2700

120GB Seagate SATA
