Greetings, I am no PC guru and have a limited knowledge and (and more limited budget) though it seems several of you seem to know what is out there and have a vastly superior knowledge of what is possible and has been around for some time.. As you can see by the following I have dinosaurs compared to most people that list here.

Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)
128 kilobyte primary memory cache
256 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 62710 11/14/2000
768 Megabytes Installed Memory
All-in-Wonder RADEON 7500 (NTSC) [Display adapter]
power supply is an A Open 300W

Compaq Evo D500
1.70 Gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)
8 kilobyte primary memory cache
256 kilobyte secondary memory cache
Board: Compaq 077Ch
Bus Clock: 400 megahertz
BIOS: Compaq 686Y2 v2.11 02/27/02
1280 Megabytes Installed Memory
All-in-Wonder RADEON 8500 DV Edition (PAL) [Display adapter]

Question is as both of these PC’s have ATi TV cards (AGP) and I am sure since they first came out there are many better video cards available, but I don’t want to spend a fortune on old cards for old PC’s. Recently I saw a site with their top 5 suggestions for older systems. Will I benefit graphically from running a different graphics card such as NVIDIA GeForce 7800GS, ATI Radeon X1650 Pro, NVIDIA GeForce 7600GS, ATI Radeon X1600 Pro, NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT perhaps combined with my older Hauppauge mono TV cards? Or it possible to boost my graphics capabilities by running the current ATi TV cards (AGP)combined with a older PCI graphics card similar to one of these cards previously mentioned?

For instance on my old Dell I had 2 cards in sequence… Is this even possible with this tv card and an older PCI graphics card, and what cards would be the best candidates?.. would I be better off ditching the ATI cards and getting a faster AGP graphics card.. I don’t understand pipelines and all that stuff but some people have said some of these cards are too advanced for the systems I have and would just be wasting money. ANY SUGGESTIONS AND HELP ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! So in a nutshell utilizing what I have to optimize this pc and KEEP COST DOWN but would really like to hear what some of you would do. I know throw these PC's away and buy new ones would be best but I just dont have that luxury..

Thanks in Advanced for any suggestions

Sorry about that Jam was not meant as a cross post just the other was dealing initially with the CPU issue developed into a dual post and had seen this section and thought maybe this was a better place for this particular graphics related question.. Sorry for any inconvenience
