I have a gateway e-3200 and well I'm looking to juice the computer up for gaming purposes. I have a Nvidia Geforce4 mx420 and I'm looking for a AGP graphics card. Most games are choppy, halo, warcraft 3 (can play at 800 x 600 at best), wolfenstein, etc...

I'm looking at 100$ market rangish. Thanks! Any webpages like toms hardware or a comparison link would be cool. Thanks!

nVidia GeForce FX's are the only way to go. I bought a GeForce FX 5700 LE 256mb for $91 on pricewatch.com. Just stay away from ATI radeon cards if you don't like stupid errors and low frame rates. And if you wanna save money.

There's this other brand of cards called ATI that are also solid cards. Don't believe people who say NVidia or ATI are the only way to go. Kudos to Sabertooth for giving objective data. Choose whichever fits your budget and performance needs best - Nvidia or ATI.

ATIs ARE bad, seriously! I've had lots of bad experinces with Radeons. And they're not solid at all-accually, they get kinda hot and mushy if you play games with good 3D graphics. I switched to nVidia and tried many different cards with differnt GeForce GPUs and I've never had an error yet. And they're not mushy at all. Except for one that was physically defective, but it was damaged in shipping. So listen to someone who knows what they're talking about. And I'm not bias, I'm just realistic. BTW: Naaman- flip your list around; and you made some typos on lines 1,2, and 4 that's spelled "GeForce".

I think for the most part Nvidia and Geforce have their level of credibility :)

Thanks again all,

If Mitch isn't biased, then I'll be elected President in 2008.

P.S. I just turned 28 a few days ago.
