I've got a compaq 4000 and i just bought a ATI RADEON 9250 graphics card for it.

When I installed it and booted up my pc, a blank screen appeared.

Can anyone help me with my problem?

Why did you get a 9250? Did you disable the onboard video?

Is your power supply up to it? Did you disable onboard if necessary? Did you read the manual?

I doubt the PSU has anything to do with it...the 9250 is pretty tame. If he previously had onboard video, it probably wasn't disabled, or the Primary Display setting wasn't changed (basically the same thing)

Make sure that the onboard video is diabled in the BIOS. I had issues with my AGP 6800GT working in my DFI NF3 250GB mobo for awhile, then realized there is an actual compatibility issue with those parts. Also in the BIOS, make sure the actual port settings (AGP / PCI / PCI-e) are set correctly or at least enabled.

I think the problem could be my monitor.
When i put in the graphics card and connect the cables, it comes up to the black screen.
It never does that with the onboard graphics.
