Graphics Card for Champions Online

Specs: Windows Vista
I posted this in another part of the forum but nobody could help, I suspect it was in the wrong part so I posted it here.

I need a new graphics card and the game I'm looking to play is Champions Online. The problem is that I have had problems fitting in a graphics card. Awhile ago I bought a Nvidia Geoforce 8400 graphics card but couldn't fit it into my computer. My computer is a Compaq Presario SR5414UK. The compaq presario has a PCIe slot and the card was PCIe, so why couldn't I fit it in?

Well one reason could obvoulsy be because I simply haven't tried properly. I have actually seen a motherboard for my computer and it looked slightly different, everytime I have tried to add the card there is a component that seems to get in the way.

If there is something different about my motherboard are there ways of going around it? I hear you can use a PCIe wireless card or a wireless USB dongle. Also my computer has one PCI slot, would there be any problems buying a PCI card instead of a PCIe one. I can't forsee any problems with me fitting the PCI card there is plenty of free space.

Bare in mind I know my current card isn't powerful enough to play CO but the problem is if I can't fit that card in I won't be able to fit another one. I don't want to buy an expensive card that I can't fit. Could anyway suggest a decent graphics card as well I don't want to spend more £50.

U have atx full tower a normal v-card will fit fine.
U have meet other system requirements, if u wanna play that game well u need hd 5670 or if u can't afford it look ATi radeon hd 4670 with gddr3 or ddr3.

The 8400 is a low end piece of crap, not a gaming card. It should have fit though. Consider yourself lucky you couldn't get it to work. Hopefully you got your money back. Newegg has a Geforce GT 240 with 512MB GDDR5 memory for just $35 after rebate. The only downside is it takes up 2 slots:

Lol I was able to install it, the graphics card actually enables me to play games that I couldn't. According to a systems requirement program it will play CO but it will play it slow. I will use this for now until I get a better card. Thanks for the suggestions though.
