Is there a website that shows screenshots using different graphics cards? I own a geforce fx5200 and people seem to be saying that they are crap. I play games like battlefield 1942, wolfenstein etc and they play well and the graphics seem ok to me. So where can I compare the cards and/or see screenshots of each card?? I need to see whether it is worth spending the money on a better card. Thanks/.

a FX5200 is a budget card, which is mainly why people call them crap. If your games run at decent fps you should keep it, but if you don't want to, a 9800 Pro is a good choice for an upgrade. Its about $220 and it is one of the best gfx cards out there, and you will notice a big difference in performance and image quality.

Just a note, the screens would look the same (especially if you have them from FX 5200, 5600 and 5900) since the difference is how many frames the VGA card can pump in per second, rather than the quality of the picture. With older video cards, such as Geforce2, you may notice certain image degradation such as 4 textures instead of 8 or certain visualization effects. My advice is to but the BEST last generation card, like I did:
I bought a Geforce4 4800 Ti 128 MB DDR, AGP 8x and it was the same price as a 256 MB 5600 FX but I can swear it is waaaay faster than the FX one.

Well if you are on a budget, I would go for a 9800 Pro since its an outstanding gfx card and its only about $220. Note that the #1 gfx card out there is a 9800 XT, which is about $450. A 9800 XT is basically a 9800 Pro, but with higher clock speeds so their performance difference is very little.

If you have a lot of money to spare, I would wait until the new gfx cards come out since they will take the #1 crown in gpu performance & quality.

Ti4800 is a waaaay faster than FX5600 cards. i admit that! i own fx5600 and i do feel being cheated by nvidia. the clock speed of ti4800 is even higher than fx5600's. i overclocked the fx5600 to the max (320MHz core 530MHz mem) still it cant match up with ti4400 card! But! the ti's is being designed for DirectX8 not 9s. so hopefully newer games like Doom3 and HLife2 will considerebly make a difference. try 3Dmark03, u will understand what i'am talking about.

Yeah there is suppose to be alot more graphical advantages in dx9 over 8 so even tho say my 4200ti is faster then the fx5200, I don't see the extra eye candy what dx9 offers. For e.g the nature seen in 3dmark2003.
