Graphic Problems With The Sims 3

November 26, 2010 at 23:36:34
Specs: Windows 7
I am having a huge problem with my sims 3 game. I was playing one, and then the next day it was like I couldn't even see the houses. The sims themselves I can see just fine, but the I can't see most things in the house. It's like the land and the trees are just bleeding throughout the entire screen. I have tried everything I have found online, such as updating my computer, changing every option on the graphic portion of the game, trying to change screen size. I recently uninstalled my sims 3, world adventures, and ambitions, and installed the sims deluxe thinking that it could possibly help. Of couse it did not. I have never downloaded anything from the ea website for the game, so I am assuming that it could not be from a corrupted file. My computer is maybe a year old, and like I said it was working fine one day, and all crazy looking the next. I tried to email the EA Support, but so far nothing they have had me do had solved anything. If anyone could help me out, it would be very much appreciated.

The key features of my laptop are:
-AMD Sempron processor for notebook PCs M120 (2.1 GHz, 512KB L2 cache)
-Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
-3GB DDR2 System memory
-250GB (7200rpm) hard drive
-LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD R/RW with double layer support
-AMD M880G with ATI Mobilty Radeon HD 4200 graphics with 128MB display cache memory (up to 1534MB total)

Well reinstalling would help but i think the main problem is your processor its a single core @ 2.1 Ghz it requires about 2.4 ghz ATLEAST with your OS Id either change your cpu or go back to sims 2 =( Hope that helped! Sorry mate!
