Hello!
I have a serious problem with 3D graphics.
When I play 3D games, after a few minutes (randomly), the whole screen starts to go crazy and you can't play anymore and have to return to windows and terminate the game using Alt-Control-Delete because the game's menu is all black. (see images at the link)
If I try to run a game after I terminate, the bugs are still there and in order to play again I have to restart to "Reset" the graphics or something. One time I ran the Direct3D test in DXDiag after I terminated a game and the results were weird: The DirectX 8 Interfaces and DirectX 9 Interfaces tests were fine but the DirectX 7 Interfaces test showed the cube with texture corruption. (see images at the link)
When I do the DirectX Interfaces tests before the graphics go crazy, all the tests are normal.Recently I replaced my 200W power-supply
with a 380W power-supply because my system was very unstable and kept crashing all the time. Now it works fine, except for this problem.System Specs:
AMD Athlon 1600+ (1.4 GHz)
256 MB DDR
Windows XP Pro SP1
GeForce 4 MX 440 (Drivers: ForceWare 53.03)
Sound Blaster Vibra 128 PCI
Power-Supply: 380W
DirectX 9.0bI have tried many things and nothing worked, so post any idea you've got and hopefully you'll suggest something I haven't tried yet.
Thanks for your help.

Howdy,
Uninstall your video card completely in device manager. When it reinstalls, use the original drivers you got with your card. Nvidia latest drivers are not to great, and it sounds like a driver problem.

The graphic problems that you have are called *artifacting* and usually people would see this if their GPU is overclocking too high and the pipelines cannot handle the clock speeds. Another possibility is that your GPU is overheating.
What you should do
-Try playing 3d games with your PC Case open(without side panel) and see if that helps.
-Check the cooler fan and see if it is moving. If there is a lot of dust inside turn off your pc and use a can of compressed air to clean the fan.
-Install the latest drivers for your motherboard.
-Reduce clock speedsIf your GPU cannot handle default clock speeds/mhz then you should consider RMAing(or exchanging) the card. If you think the cooler fan is dead you might want to replace it and see if that helps. If you have a gpu temp monitor please post your gpu temp idle & load.

OK, maybe now you'll have a better chance of identifying my problem:
I've deleted the current video drivers and installed older ones. The problem isn't as bad as it was - Now when the bugs start, only the HUD disappears and the menus are still black, and the models of the players are invisible. Everything else is fine and the games are kinda' playable now.PlAgUe

yeah i know what you mean i had the same problem with rainbow six 3. What i did was found another copy of Rundll.23 as this is what caused the problem i also kept updating the gfx constantly. So i know that is deffinatley your gfx card.
