Comment: Hi. I got a ASUS 9600XT graphics card the other day and I tried to play a few of my older games. Like NFS: HP2 (NFS6) and “F1 Racing Championship” and the graphics are all kinda messed up. In NFS all the text is blocky coloured pixels and in “F1 Racing Championship” ever texture is just coloured pixels, like pink lime green, white, black and so on. So I went and got the latest drivers for my new 9600XT and its still all stuffed up. In “F1 Racing Championship” I tried with out T&L and with T&L but still the same :(. What more can I do!!!! ??? :( Thanks if you can help.

Reply: (edit)Card could be defective, RMA it. If you are overclocking reduce the clock speeds. Asus P4S800 Pentium 4 2.6ghz @ 3.0ghz eVGA Geforce FX 5900 SE SB Audigy LS

Reply: (edit)frankly, that's the problem with ati cards. compatibality problem, that's why i prefer nvidia line of video card rather than ati's. ati produce the fastest card in the world today, no doubt. but in term of compatiblity (old games especially) it still behind nvidia. try to do what "Esp" told you to! usually new drivers solves problem but if not, submit your case to ati to verify it.

Reply: (edit)I haven't ever overclocked my card. And i have the very latest drivers. I'll "submit your case to ati to verify it." But more one thing, what is "RMA it" mean? :| Thanks P.S. I got the card cos it comes with HL2 and cost $55(AUD) or $42.41(USD) to me that sounds bloody good, and it has VIVO.

Reply: (edit)Just contact your retailer and exchange your card. If other gfx cards don't cause this kind of problem then I am pretty sure that its defective. P.S. make sure you installed latest motherboard drivers, and make sure that your gfx card is not sharing any irq's with other devices.
