Grand Theft Auto Vice City problem

Just installed GTA: VC after a long time. Ok. Installed ok, started ok but in the game, everytime I want to enter/exit a vehicle, the whole game freezes for about 4 seconds. And when I'm on a superbike, scooter or Harley, if I hit something and I fall off, again the game freezes. The music stops and everything. Doesn't give me any errors, other than that the game works fine.

Think you should turn the radio off, there have been complaints that it causes lag while playing, if the radio plays directly from the CD.
Other than that make sure P2P programs are not running in the background and nothing unnecessary is running on startup. if you're using a trainer, get a less buggy one.
Also you might wanna get the patch from the official Vice City site if you haven't already.
