Hello, I was wondering what a good LCD monitor would be preferably for gaming. Also, I would appreciate it if someone would list a few varying in price range and tell me what makes which better (Not only size). Thanks:).

CRT monitors are still the better choice for gaming...

Jam is right. LCDs aren't as good with colors and aren't very bright, but are easier on your eyes; that's not a concern of gamers. Right? Right? lol

I got to say I was extremely impressed with my wife's Samsung LCD monitor. 8ms response time, and the coloring was good enough I couldn't tell the problems unless I saw a CRT side by side, and even then it barely qualified as noticeable. I've been a huge LCD critic, but it's getting to the point *I'd* consider buying one.

Ive got an LCD, and to tell you that the only diff is that my LCD has better colours then older CRT's and i need to put it on economy because it's too bright. So relly it depends on the type and what will you do with it

Mod it till it bleeds

I've had a Benq 17" LCD with a 12ms response time for about 6 months now and it's great for gaming.

But I did upgrade to LCD from a 10-15 year old Compaq 15" CRT with a nasty green flicker given to me during an office clearance sale, so no comparison.

If you're going to get an LCD for gaming, don't skimp and buy the cheapest office-type one or you'll be disappointed.
