you cant even play wc3 with this pc. halo requires much more than wc3. not even fast enough to watch divx movies. my cousin has an old 600mhz p3, couldnt even watch divx movies, the sound was always faster than the video. LOL!

Here's my list of favorite games that would run on your system.

-Starcraft
-System shock 2 (DON'T ignore this one)
-The longuest journey
-Half-life 1
-Silent Hill 1 (it's a former psone game, but a computer version came out)

Man, those games are way better than many of today's cutting-edge games.

I don't believe that...My P3-650 can play 1.1mb/sec (720x480) divx movies with only 40-60% CPU load (depending on the amount of action on the screen)

Original poster-you're not going to have much luck with games made in 2001 and later. You want at least 512mb of RAM and a 1.8ghz P4/1800+AMD for games such as Halo.

The one game that comes to my mind that will run on your system okayish is GTA3.

There are an awful lot of computer games, and plenty of those will run on a machine that humble - whether they're "good" or not is a matter of personal preference.

Quake II, the original Blood, various versions of the updated original DooM.... and many more - you'll have to look.

Magic: The Gathering (Microprose)

This game is out of print. I wouldn't normally recommend this, but since it is OOP, you can probably find it via file sharing.

Try to find a manual to download if you have never played the CCG before.

I think that all the Mech Warrior series before Microsoft purchased and destroyed the series: Mech Warrior2, Ghost Bear Legacy, and even possibly Mech Warrior3. My son used to run them quite well on a Pentium 100 GHz with around 64 MB RAM. He also ran Wing Commander4 on that machine very well. We did have a very good Matrox Millenium video card with 2MB ram on the card. You can pick these games up for pennies on EBay. These are fast, hard-hitting games and enjoyable anytime on any machine. In fact, I just built a new computer for a graphic arts major, and my "labor charge" was his old Windows98 machine. I cleaned it up, reinstalled 98, threw in a cheepie vid.card, a SoundBlaster Live soundcard I had lieing around and added some memory, and now we are playing all the old games and they are great!

I have a Celeron 400Mhz with 256Mb RAM and a 32Mb TNT2, It plays XviD Videos at 1.154Mbps 512x384 just fine. It also has a few good games that run well. Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, Diablo 2, Half Life 1, Dark Reign 2, Sims with a couple of expansions etc. They run well even with Win XP runig behind them too. I used to have a 566MHz celeron as my main system which had intergrated graphis and it ran GTA3 ok ish. Your system should handle it with a 64Mb card.
