Hello.
in the past while in gameplay such as in counter strike i get random glitches and wavey blurry lines up my screen, ive tried 2 different monitors and video cards, i know its not one of these parts causing this problem, i have 512mb RAm with the asus A7N8x Deluxe, cpu: amd xp 2600+ 420 watt power supply, ive gotta all the recent updates and still i get this problem i think it all boils down to my motherboard being defective, this would be my last guess.... Leave you thoughts or e-mail me Please and thanx, Trickl00@hotmail.com

Hello all,
While playing Worms 2, Star trek armada and armada 2, Heroes of might and magic, Warcraft and Soldier of fortune my computer easily starts to program, then runs it for about a half an hour then freezes completely and the PC is unresponsive. I do have an independant vid card also have a top range sound card and 512mb of RAM it is a 2.4 gig ditty and has been out to the shop once so far for repairs with medion for unrelated issues. I find with worms and warcraft that if I play windows media in the background then it operates for a fair bit longer but still freezes in the long run.
Any tips ?

I have spent a lot of time using and looking into computer hardware and software. I have found that most of the problems are in the software, and not the hardware. Hardware tens to be more reliable mainly because of the high prices you pay, and the way they are made. software can pick up a corruption anywhere and everywhere, and simply having uncompatable software will screw up things, without it telling you of the problems. I have an audigy 2, and it does not work on either of my os because of the software, on my one os, it simply restarts the comp because of a "bad pool start" or something like that, I dont rememeber because I stopped using that os, on the other, it simply does not have any sound. Ive gotten it to work poorly before, but it simply always tells me to reinstall, and when I do, it never works. Software is a very big problem, and until a more stable form of data transfer (I dont like cds...), data storage, and computing care (cleaning drives and defragmenting, along with all that other good stuff) software will always have problems, and sometimes, you might just have to bite the bullet, or find alternative programs to use....
