OKay since ive been bagged on so much about my video card on this site, im getting a new one. and a new system. so i was wondering which card is better.

i was thinking the X800GTO because it has GDDR3 memory on a 256bit memory interface..

The other thread was simply stating 512M was unnecessary on your video card, not that the card is necessarily bad.

I would not upgrade your video card. There are faster AGP cards out there, but the Athlon XP you have will hold back every single one of them. Save up to replace your motherboard, CPU, and video card at once. If you do that sooner rather than later, you could go Socket 939 and keep your RAM. Otherwise, assume you'll need new RAM as well (DDR2). As a side benefit, you get much better value in PCI-e graphics cards than AGP.
