I wanna get a new Video Card but i don't really know much about them, so i have a few questions. 1.I heard that AGP cards are better than PCI ones. Is that true? What differences are there? 2.I know that I have 2 PCI slots which are white. And then there is a shorter brown slot. Is that an AGP slot? 3.What are some good affordable video cards in your opinion?

PCI data transfer speed=150 MB/s, AGP 4x =1.1 GB/s, and AGP 8x=2.2 GB/s. 2)Yes it is. 3) Don't know exactly what you're looking for but a 9800 pro 128 MB seems to give the most bang per buck. Depends on the 9800. You can get one for as little as $160, but the ones that overclock well are usually closer to $190. MCSE, MCSA Messaging, baby!

1) Agp 4x run's at +5.00V , Agp 8x run's at a lower voltage +3.3 v . Check to see if your AGP slot is coverd with a pull tab , if it is your card choice is 8x. Make sure you disloge the blank tab in the slot before installing the card! 2) Yes it is brown. 3)9800 Pro 128Mb is the best bang for your buck . Don't install an inferier card in your system , and do not remove blank if you install a 5.0v card ! Bring it into the service area if this is to daunting a task for you to take on , and let a service tech. do it for you instead !

what are you looking to do with your computer... I see no sence in buying a 190.00 card if your just playing with work or watching movies... if that is all your going to do.. then I would suggest a raidion 8500 which you can get for about 75.00 but what are you going to be doing?.
