Reply: (edit)Try turning off any acceleration for your audio. In Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices and within DirectX using dxdiag program. Internet search engines are your friends. Morpheus: There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. "The Matrix"

Reply: (edit)The FX5200 is not a good gaming card, but that doesn't explain your problem. Could be spyware...when's the last time you cleaned house? Have you used MSCONFIG to prevent all the unnecessary crap from loading at startup? ASUS A7N8X-X Athlon XP 1800+ 8.5 x 200MHz 1024MB PC3200 2.5-3-3-7 Asus A9550GE/TD 128MB WinME/WinXP Pro SP2

Reply: (edit)I wouldnt think 'spyware' would be the problem here; although its always good to run spybot adaware and trends housecall at least once a month. I however would opt for the updateing of sound card drivers DirectX. Why can't we put questions here?#
