Just got the GeForce FC5500 but the PC is an Emachine 1742 with an Intel Celeron processor. On the vid card box, it doesn't saying anything about Celeron, only Pentium. I can't seem to get it to work. I'm running WinXP. Is this the problem? What are my options to fix it?

Is this a PCI or AGP card? What size is your powersupply? Did you disable the onboard graphics before you tried installing through the bios? To answer you question a modern celeron would have no problems running a FX5500. Its probably something simple.

you have to disable the onboard video & change the display setting to PCI (or AGP). Also, if you plan on gaming with that thing, you need at least 512MB RAM.
