I disabled the integrated display driver. I then changed bios from onboard to auto. I then loaded windows in VGA mode.
When i boot computer it finds new vga complian hardware then it finds new pci slot hardware.
If I try to install either it says that it can;t find any drivers for either.
If I load the pny verto disc then it will load the display driver for the monitor, but it doesn't load anything for the pci card.
If I try the install program for the card, it gives an error message that it can't find compatible drivers for the hardware.
I downloaded the driver from the website and this once again loads the driver for the display but every time I reload, it finds a pci card that needs installing.
If I click on the little nvidia icon in the system tray it shows my dell monitor and it shows the geforce fx 5500 card.
Is the card installed? why do I keep getting the pci installation? How can i test if the card is actually working?
Help Help Help!

Well, it seem that the card is installed. I called the tech help and they took me through diagnostics.
We can't figure out what the pci install thing is all about but I just set it to never ask me again. The card works fine.
For all of those people that say you shouldn't waste your money on a PCI card, "you are crazy!"
Ive already tried out two games that I couldn't play before and they now work and now the graphics on some older games really kick it!
This card is way better than the integrated graphics and I still haven't put in the gig of memory.
