I have another simple question....I am so glad I found this forum, because I want to learn about computers. So please don't get mad if i ask many questions:) Anyway, is the 7800 series going to agp, or are they totally converting to pci-Express??

I think that they will probably release two versions, the one for PCIx and one for AGP.

I honestly do not see why PCIx is so much better the AGP. I looked at all the specs for both AGP and PCIx and the only time PCIx has the upper hand on the AGP 8x is when it's PCIx-16. But i think that it is insane what they are doing right now with the dual video cards. That looks way kool. Too bad i dont have a better job, other wise i would invest in that. :o)

hi
7800gtx unfortunatly (till lack of sales kicks in Nvidia marketing office) its pcie only :( approx 600$ each.
, good news is no body can realistically afford one in sli mode :O $$$£££,So till nvidia see sense , hands in pockets.
ahwell wait for ATi's response next month with the r250 , maybe wait till xmas and buy a xbox with a trillion more power & half the price,
as per usual 'tomo's' is on the case
http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20050621/nvidia_7800-01.html

cant see that there will be a rush to buy this latest incarnation, give it 8-12 months may be, ill bet current 6800gt/ultra owners will give it a run for the money price v perf, how much is a ATI crossfire in the USA?
any 1 got one? (pair)
im curious was it worth the hard earned cash?

regards
