Upon searching the web for solutions to my gameplay problems I have narrowed it down to being a problem w/ my video card. Most DirectX9 games cause my video card, Geforce 4 Ti 4200 64 mb (Gainward I believe) cause it to lock up, and make my monitor go blank. This is not due to drivers, directx, monitors, etc, it is strictly a card problem. It has been suggested that it is the cards capacitor which is faulty FROM FACTORY. If so it may be exchangeable ,however I have no idea who to contact since I bought this computer second hand in October 03. Any help would be great.

This could be a ram or video card driver problem.
Try running memtest86 overnight, that may catch ram problems. If you installed new video drivers without completly uninstalling your old ones, that could be the cause.
