Just a question, I have the GeForce 4 TI 4200 And I did the updates to DX9 as soon as I installed XP, same time I got my the 4200. Could that be causing low frame rates and sluggishness in games? If so how would I go about going back down to Dx8?

Remember that the Geforce 4 Ti series are for DX8, so since you installed DX9 you could have some game problems. Either you should buy a new video card or uninstall DX with a special program. You could try looking in search engines..
good luck
