Comment:

I have a Radeon 9055 graphics card, 343 RAM 80 Gig maxtor hard drive, and I am able to play Battlefield, Medal of Honor,Far Cry, etc., but I can't get Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness, 007 Nightfire to install and when I install Marine Sharpshooter, I cannot get the scope to work on the rifle. Far Cry does crash occasionally but it will still play after I reboot.

Any help I can get will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Jim Smith

Get your specs right. There's no such thing as a 9055 Radeon, it's impossible to have 343M of RAM, and they don't make Athlon 64's that run 1.3GHz.

Repost your correct specs, and we'll go from there.

Sorry, I'm not a computer whiz, however, I looked at the information in my system folder and it states as follows:
System Properties,
AMD Athlon (tm) Processor
1.33 Ghz , 384 MB of Ram.
My Graphics card is a 256 MB DOR AGP 8x/4x ATI Readeon 9550
My motherboard is MSI KT2 Combo
VIA KT@^^A Chipset Based

If you need any other information please tell me. Thanks

No problem. Be aware there's a big difference between a regular Athlon or Athlon XP and an Athlon 64. Totally different CPU's altogether.

First thing I would do is get the latest VIA chipset drivers for your motherboard. Fortunately, they have unified drivers that work for all their chipsets in one package.

You want the 4-in-1's, not the Pro.

Next, download the latest Catalyst video card drivers. Uninstall your old drivers via Add/Remove programs, reboot when prompted, and install the new drivers, and reboot when prompted.

Post back with the results.
