Are my pc specs good enough for gaming with doom3 or hl2? My currents specs are:

AMD64 3200+
512mb pc3200 ram
MSI K8T-Neo FIS2R mobo
160gb seagate drive
1.2gb paging file
256mb 256bit radeon 9550

Also, should I switch to xp64 or xp pro? Please tell me what upgrades I should get.

Thanks, Aaron

The Processor is fine... should be running at 2GHz and can always be overclocked... However, you can always use a little more Ram... If you threw another 512Mb chip in there, you'd be in a great spot... Mobos lookin good, HD has plenty of room, and the graphics card should be good, but it may fall short on upcoming games like F.E.A.R and Alan Wake... these titles will require a crazy amount of power... But you should be good for HL2 and Doom3... it may lag in BF2... but it's definitely a decent system... Enjoy!!

You look pretty good, I agree that you could use some more RAM but it is not a complete necessity. Half Life 2 is optimized for ATi cards so you should get decent performace from that. Just don't jack your graphics settings all the way up and you should be set.

Build-in-Progress:
NZXT Nemesis Elite
Athlon 64 3200
Abit An8
OCZ EL PE Rev2 DDR400
X800PRO
