I want a gaming laptop to replace my desktop ill be traveling and i hear that gaming laptops arn't good? but if there not good why come out with gaming laptops? i wantna spend at most 1,500 (im guessing 100 dollars worth of taxes) what should i get alienware is expensive right off the bat but is there any other ones you guys suggest my head hurts so help me find one and ill buy it :)

A common problem is that people buy a 'regular' laptop/notebook for $600-700 & then are unhappy with the gaming performance. If you wanna game (& game well) with a laptop, you have to buy one that's designed for gaming & that generally means spending 2-3 times as much as a 'regular' laptop/notebook.

Althought gaming laptops are generally more expensive than desktops, but you get a "free" workout from carrying 10lb+ of luggage with you as you "travel"...
