I travel a lot for work and need a laptop. I don't like Dell but it looks like a good deal to me. I can't like the page because it requires a username/password. $1508

53 whr battery is not enough for a 7800... If you do alot of traveling, maybe you should think about buying a 72 whr 8 cell battery upgrade for it... Why would you need XP media edition when you can get XP home SP2 for less? Other than that, $1508 is a very good deal...

Thanks for reply

The reason it's MCE is that is standard on that configuration. On the battery they have an 80WHr 9-cell for an extra $100. Should I buy OEM or go with that.

That is upto u, if the price is the same, then get it with the laptop. Otherwise, you will be paying "extra" shipping for order the battery off other website... But I'd would just get it with the laptop, less hassle..

You would need to weigh the cost of the battery against the need, for instance my laptop is usually used plugged in as i visit a lot of sites where that is possible so a bigger battery wouldnt help me any. But if you would be using it soley on battery i would go for it.
