Reply: (edit)You can change XP to show blue screens rather than automatically restart. control panel/system/advanced tab/ startup & recovery settings/ then uncheck automatically restart. The blue screen will usually give you a starting point by referring to what file is causing the crash.

Reply: (edit)Hi i have a P4 2.4ghz/512mb ddr/Ati 9000 pro tv turner, tv out/sony dvd rewritable dual format home built pc. sometimes my pc restarts himself i've checked the cpu temp and it dosen't go more then 43 degrees celcious after 10hours turned on and the system temp dosen't get too hi .also checked the motherboard support and it supports up to 3.6ghz processor intel and up to 4ghz memory so the one i'm using ain't too much for the system ,im also using windows xp pro. the funniest thing yeah is that my pc dosen't freezes or get blank screens before it restarts , my fan is working fine it's cooling down ok .but the fault keeps happening .
