hey i just bought an acer aspire 1 year ago and i noticed things. whenevr i play internet games on addictinggames.com my computer blacks out and shuts down, the second is whenever i play cd games like guildwars my computer freezes and these bars appear running vertical and horizontal. can anyone help?

try reinstall ur video card drivers. check for spyware. viruses. and defrag ur hard-drive . if everything fails format ur hard-drive

The Aspire 5000 is a low end budget notebook with poor integrated graphics (SiS). Your gaming performance must be horrible!

Sounds like your system is overheating. Make sure the cooling fan is working properly & isn't dust clogged
