Games that run on DirectX 8

My question deals with finding popular games that run properly on DirectX 8. I am using 98se and recently purchased "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" and "The Hulk". Both of these games run great on DirectX 8 and I do not want to put DirectX 9 on this system due to some problems that I had before with my graphics card and DirectX 9.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein was the game of the year when it came out. I guess I'm looking for other "Very Popular" titles that uses DirectX 8.

First off, RTCW is the best game ever , www.1337th.co.uk :P . Secondly there are fewer games supporting DX8 being released manily due to increased GFX card technology, and the new relase on DX9, i know both Halo, HL2 and Enter the Matrix are all DX9 compatible games. However try your hand at a free game, and belive me its good, the followup to RTCW, called Enemy Territory, grab it at www.enemy-territory.com , its about 300 meg and is a free MP only game. Apart from that not many suggestions im afraid.
Summary: I've had problems with Unreal Tournament 2K4 as well as many games that run on DirectX 9.0 beta (at least i think thats wut they have in common) AFter 30-45 minutes of play on these games, my monitor ...
