Games Take A Longtime To Start

Specs: Windows 7, Dual Core/2 GB
When i double click on any game exe it takes a long time to start and it will start normally if i double click it two times.and when i check task manager whe first game exe process is only 1,+++ k which was normally over 10,+++ k before the game started.this problem began when i installed windows 7 please help
this not emulator selection mistake

Update drivers and uninstall old software first. If this doesn't work, consider adding more ram or mesting to see if your CPU is working correctly. W7 has some gadgets automatically installed that monitor Ram and CPU usage.

every thing is fine with other apps the problem is just with the games

I'd delete everything in the c:\windows\prefetch folder (safe - it's just used for boot caching)
Clear your Internet history/cache.
Run chkdsk c: /f to fix any lost file chains (you'll hafta reboot since the C: drive is locked)
Run defrag /f (to force it to run if space is too low, just a habit)

Standard hard drive cleanup - delays when double-clicking are generally related to seek issues because the files are fragmented across multiple sectors or confused.
