Hi ive just got a new pc and it came with vista i bought some games i tried to install sims2 but it keeps sticking at 1% at a file called globalcatbin.bundle.package ive installed the new drivers for my graphics card which is a NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT and i have all the system requirements but it still happens it also happens on myst 4,age of empires 2 and rise of nations does anyone know why it would do this

If it is happening on a bunch of games, maybe there is a problem with your optical drive. For now, try to find the "globalcatbin.bundle.package" on the internet & download it to your desktop, if you can point the installer to its location, you may be able to get around the error message.

thanks for the reply ive tried it and it didnt work.if it is the optical drive do i need to but a new dvd drive cos it has problems with all my dvd games but not with the cd ones the drive i have is TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H653L SCSI CdRom Device it seems to get stuck on certain files on the dvd roms and when i try to open the problem ones individually the drive just goes brrr brrr brrr brrrr over and over and wont read them
