my games on my sons pc keep lagging and freezing, he is on a wirless conection with a speed of 56 which is a good speed. these games used to play ok but now he is having this problem , can anyone advise.one of the games is call of duty 4

just as a suggestion, is broadband available in the area that you live in ??(cable,dsl.)it would be better than a wireless 56k speed for his online gaming.
and also could you please list your sons specs on his pc.

We already have a broadband connection. My sons pc is an extra pc in a bedroom, The spec for his pc are as follows.
NVIDIA 7300 AMD AM2 64 DUAL CORE X2 4200.
7300GT 256MB GRAPHICS CARD. 160GB SATA HARD DRIVE. 1024 DDR2 667MHZ.

replace the 7300...that's not a good gaming card at all for games such as call of duty 4....another suggestion would be to get 1 more gig of ram

Hi back again.
Been asked by my son, if he is putting another gig of Ram in his machine. Can he put two different makes of 1 gig in. or does he have to have the same make. or is he best just to put a 2 gig with just the one make, hope you understand this.

it all depends on what type of ram your son's motherboard supports....if i was him i'd get 1 gig as long as the motherboard supports it.
