I'm having a terrible time with PC games on my computer, Dell Inspiron E1705 Laptop. I have recently bought Herios V and Vampire Masquerade and neither one work. They install fine but when I go to start the game, it loads for 2 sec then crashes back to the desktop. My computer has more than the min. game requirements. I have downloaded patches, installed driver detective to update all my drivers, and downloaded spybot to make sure there wasn't a virus.
When I searched my desktop for the problem
I found that a crash file appeared for everytime I tried to load the game. This is some of what it says:* * * Vampire Crash Data Log, Generated From Exe Built On: Oct 6 2004 * * *
vampire caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module ntdll.dll at 001b:7c9111de.Read from location 3f000000 caused an access violation.

That's because your laptop is NOT a gamer. There were a couple of optional graphics "cards" available for the Inspiron E1705, but if your's came with the standard Intel GMA950 graphics, you can just about forget gaming with it. And there's no way to upgrade the graphics...you'd have to buy a different laptop.
