Comment: Hi I have a problem where games will crash to the desktop without an error message or anything. It happens at random times. For example, I tried playing Doom 3 but it crashes to desktop as soon as I start the single player game. Then I tried Battlefield 1942 and I was playing for at least 30 minutes, but then it crashed for seemingly no reason. XP 3.2 1Gig Ram Geforce 6800 I've got all the latest sound, video and motherboard drivers and I don't think it's a heat issue as my system is usually around 30c when I play games. It is REALLY annoying.

Reply: (edit)Are there any errors in your App log? Sounds like inadequate power supply. "Republicans in Congress are moving to ratify a constitutional amendment to ban flag burning, thus ending the Iraqi insurgency."

Reply: (edit)To get to your Application log, right click My Computer, select Manage. Expand Event Viewer. Check your App and Sys logs for errors. That error message is indicative of bad RAM, but it could also be an inadequate power supply. Did you install a new graphics card right before this all started? Give some historical background to these errors. I'm sticking with inadequate power supply so far from what I'm hearing.
