Problem:

Both games that I have tried have crashed to desktop sans error message pop-up nor an event viewer log update. Game 1 Silent Storm, crashes at some point during a mission could be 5 ~ 10 mins into the mission. Game 2 The Sims 2, can play for 5 mins up to a half-hour before it crashes. In both cases I have applied updated .exe's from the publisher.

History:

This is a brand new system (specs below) and no overclocking has been done. All hrdwr drivers are up to date, all updates applied to windows, mobo bios flashed,etc...

No HD problems.

I have ran memtest, with no errors reported

System monitor reports the following Temps; CPU 39C, System 51C, GPU 53C the following voltages; CPU 1.450v, Core 1.53v
and Mem 2.54v and the following speeds(MHZ);
PCI Express 2500, FSB 1005, Mem 402.

System:
CPU Athlon FX-55
MOBO DFI nF4-D
RAM OCZ 1GB Premier Kit Dual-Ch
HD WD Raptor 74GB 10k 8 mb Floppy Drive
BFG 7800GTX OC 256MB PCI-Express Card
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
PSU OCZ 520W Modstream

Any help here would be appreciated, as I have been struggling with this for nearly a week now.

No clues from anyone, or did I post this in the wrong section?

Do you have HP printer software installed?
I have the same problem every 15 mins.

Look in the task manager and look for HPOSM.exe or HP*.exe files to popup.

Or maybe it an other driver that want to run a little prog every x mins and kill it.

I hope this helps.
