What game are you trying to play 5200 is a budget video card so if your trying to play a new game like half life 2 or doom 3 you might get lag

What texture settings are you using? Do you have the detail set to the highest setting?
When you say running a bit slow..do you mean the frame rate? What is the speed of your ram?

The FX5200 is a weak gaming card, but I was able to play DOOM3 quite well with my Ti4800 on low settings

How about detailing the rest of your system specs? 2.6Ghz what? 512MB of what? When's the last time you cleared your system of spyware? When's the last time you did a full scan for viruses or defragged the system? Have you run MSCONFIG & stopped all the garbage from loading at startup?

Ti4800 has WAY more horsepower, too!

The FX5200 only has theoretical DX9 compliance over even the Ti4200. Otherwise, the Ti4200 is a much better card, so your Ti4800 is even more so.

I'd still follow Jam's advice though, as it can't hurt.
