Games are running choppy and slow

My computer's specs are Riva TNT2, 1.1ghz AMD Duron, and 128mb RAM, but games that take half the amount of resources are running choppy and slow since I reformatted, and reinstalled Windows 98SE. Before I formatted, they ran near-perfect, now they barely run. Anybody have any ideas why or how to fix it?

to much stuff loaded down by ya clock?
you have used some kinda "optimise prog?

ever ran scandisk?
if you had this problem since you got this computer of yours, i suggest either getting a geforce 4 mx [cheapest ge4 series, great graphics]

try downloading different drivers for your vidio card, when you reformated you probly didnt save the same drivers, but it wouldnt hurt to get more ram your 1.1ghz AMD Duron would like a 256 card, and its the best cheap upgrade, cheers jeff
