Games are freezing

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 2.8 GHz / 1535 MB
my computer could play warrock soldier front
grand theft auto san andreas. but when i had a
virus i rebooted my computer with cd. now i cant
play warrock, soldier front, and grand theft auto
san andreas. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! i am
desperate to play my games back.

Try to reinstal the games(make sure to backup your saves), if it doesn't work try to reinstal os or repair(its seems like virus has already affect your os, that means os is unstable)

Why would you reboot with the CD instead of just removing the virus? It *may* be the virus is still there, but it may also be that you did something goofy when you rebooted off the disc. Did you reinstall all the drivers...chipset, video, sound, etc?

while i was rebooting in cd i deleted a partition and made a new
partition

Ok make sure u installed necessary drivers audio,video,chipset etc. And post back if your games are running fine or not.

edit.. Do u have any antivirus installed?If not go to http://www.Filehippo.Com and look for avg free edition 9 and windows defender and make sure u update them

Ok i installed DirectX 9.0c and used a VIA chipsets motherboard
utilities cd but my games are still freezing. I have Avast anti virus

Do u have any video card installed? What is your system temp(cpu,system)? better check it in bios. post your full system specs.

You haven't listed your system specs & it took 6 responses before you even explained that you wiped the drive & did a fresh install of XP. At this rate, you *may* have your questions answered by Christmas.

I have something to add if its ok when i went to nvidia.com i
downloaded a driver and told me to restart my computer. and
when i did restart my computer my start button looked blured out
and then my programs frozed and also my pointer. but i deleted
it on safe mode. was that supposed to happen the blurring? i
have a NVIDIA Geforce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X (microsoft
corporation) and the version is 5.6.7.3
