Gamepads used for all games!?

Hello, I just recently bought a good gampad a PC Line Rumble 100 USB Gamepad and I tried it for a car game which is Need for Speed Underground 2 and it worked but when i try it for other games which involve shooting such as Quake and Call of Duty 2 it wont work, why is this? Can I only use a gamepad for car games? Thanks for your time From Steven Barea

It depends on the game! Usually if it is a platform-style game then your pad will work. Price of Persia and GTA San Andreas support the pads well for example.
